I learned today, in my 27th year, that my father used to shoot Kodachrome slides while he was traveling the West coast of the US in the 80’s with my mother, and project them with a Rollei P360 projector. I went through most of their collection late last night and pulled some of my favourites.

My father sold his SLR right before I was born and has since not taken any interest in photography, so it’s nice to know at one time he possessed an interest in something I’m now passionate about, even though it bears no relevance today. The Rollei projector still works great and is now in my hands, and I’m looking forward to amassing my own collection of slides and sharing them with my friends.
